Dear Members, The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Export Inspection Council of India, the Bureau of Indian Standards, the National Accreditation Board for Certification bodies (NABCB) is organizing the 5th National Standards Conclave with the theme "Implementing the Indian National Strategy for Standards" on 18th - 19th June, 2018 at New Delhi.   We are pleased to inform you that the Hon'ble Commerce and Industry Minister, Shri Suresh Prabhu Ji will inaugurate the Conclave on 18th June, 2018 and Smt Rita Teaotia, Secretary, Department of Commerce and other officials from DOC will be participating in this event.   The programme details are as follows: Date: 18th -19th June, 2018 Time: 0900hrs-1830hrs Venue: Diwan-i-am, Hotel Taj Mahal, Mansingh Road, New Delhi Agenda & Programme Schedule -  Enclosed   Every year, the National Standards Conclave is organized to generate awareness amongst industry members and other stakeholders about the importance of "Standards" in the changing scenario of Global Trade. This year, the conclave is to evolve an Implementation plan for recommendations made in INSS.    The two day conclave is expected to be well attended by senior officials from Central and State Governments, standards setting bodies, export promotion agencies, and manufacturing and services providing organizations together with international and national experts in related fields.   We are writing to cordially invite you to attend this event. Your presence and participation will add immense value to the discussions at the conclave.
