Dear Members,
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Directorate of International Customs has issued Circular No. 10/2021- Customs dated 24th May 2021 regarding - Extension of validity of AEO certification for ease of renewal process.
You might be aware, that validity of AEO certificate is three years for AEO-T1 and AEO-T-2, and five years for AEO-T3 and AEO-LO.
However, we understand that CBIC has received representations from AEO entities in renewing their existing certification owing to various degrees of restrictions/lockdown in different parts of the country due to COVID pandemic.
Accordingly, the CBIC has decided to extend the validity of all the AEO Certificates expired/expiring between 01.04.2021 and 31.05.2021 to 30.06.2021, except for the cases where the entity has been found ineligible for continuation under the AEO Programme.
AEO Members are requested to take note of above and do the needful accordingly. The said circular is available for reference on below link-
