Request for Inputs regarding exports related issues in CIS countries

Dear Members,
The Council has received communication from the FT-CIS Division, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry regarding exports related issues in CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan).
As per the communication from FT(CIS), we understand that till 1991 the share of trade with erstwhile Soviet Union was 25 % of the total trade India had with World. However, now it has declined substantially to only 2% of our total trade.
Members are requested to kindly provide details of issues they are facing in CIS which could be the reason for such low level of our share and what measures they would like to suggest to boost exports to CIS.
