Comments on US GSP list (Chapter 28, 29, 33, 38)
|
Dear Sir/ Madam,
We have received communication from DOC, New Delhi that Embassy of India has informed that there is a possibility of US including some tariff lines (List III) in the revised US GSP (Generalised System of Preferences) for exports from developing countries like India.
Another List (list II) of lines are eligible for GSP de minimis waiver despite exceeding the competitive needs limitation (CNL) criteria. The product categories in these two lists pertaining to CHEMEXCIL (Chapter 28, 29, 33, 38) are attached herewith.
Petitions are being sought from the exporters/ associations from eligible countries like India for ensuring that the products from List II don’t go out of GSP and those in List III are included in the new GSP.
You are kindly requested to go through these lists (specifically Lists II and III ) and revert with the comments on CHEMEXCIL items, at the earliest so that the same could be forwarded to the MOC&I as the deadline for filing petition is 30thJuly 2015.
