Dear Members,   We have received  communication from  Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (DCPC)  informing us about the forthcoming 14th meeting of  Persistent Organic Pollutants  Review Committee (POPRC-14) under Stockholm Convention scheduled to be held during September 17-21, 2018 in Rome Italy.   As per the provision agenda,  the POPRC-14 will consider following major  technical matters:   Consideration of draft risk profile of   Perfluorohexane Sulfonic Acid  (CAS NO. 355-46-4, PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS related compounds.   Consideration of a recommendation to the conference of the parties on Pentadecafluorooctanoic acid (CAS no. 335-67-1, PFOA, Perfluorooctanoic acid), its salts and PFOA- related compounds.   Process for evaluation of  Perfluorooactane sulfonic acid, its sales and Perfluorooactane sulfonyl fluoride pursuant to para 5 & 6 of part III of Annex B to the convention.     The communication from DCPC and agenda are enclosed herewith for your perusal and comments.    Members engaged in business of  above said items  are requested to revert with their comments along-with production details at the earliest on e-mail  ids  ed@chemexcil.gov.in,  deepak.gupta@chemexcil.gov.in & rodelhi@chemexcil.gov.in .   Your early replies will be appreciated and enable us put-forth comments to the ministry.   Thanking you,   Yours faithfully,   (S.G BHARADI) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHEMEXCIL   Encl : http://chemexcil.in/uploads/files/POPS-page2_001.jpg http://chemexcil.in/uploads/files/POP_001.jpg
