Request for detailed representation on certain Agrochemical related suggestions

Dear Members,
This is regarding request for detailed representation on specific Agrochemical related suggestions made by the industry.
We would draw your attention to following three suggestions raised by industry representatives during some stakeholder meetings with Department of Commerce (DoC) :

Focus on Research & Development:
-
Both India and China are having sister institutes set up with support of UNIDO. The Institute of Pesticides Formulation Technology (IPFT) at Gurgaon, needs to be similarly facilitated and more GLP approved labs are needed so as to make our products suitable for registration in developed markets.

Focus on pesticide molecules going off patent:

Indian companies can explore opportunities to take up contract manufacturing for global companies or enter into a JV with companies abroad for manufacture of odd-patent molecules.

Agrochemical Export must be supported by Intermediates:
-
Focused cluster based intermediates hubs, in vicinity of agro industry hubs need to be developed with policy support.
Subsequently, DoC has advised us to provide detailed representations to proceed further on the above suggestions.
Members (specially from agrochemicals) are requested to kindly take note and provide detailed representations/ suggestions for implementing above suggestions, failing which above points might not be taken forward.
