We have received communication from the FT-LAC, DOC regarding Inter-Ministerial Meeting in connection with the 2nd Meeting of Joint Administration Committee (JAC) under expanded India-Chile PTA .
In order to discuss all the above issues, an Inter-Ministerial Meeting will be held under the Chairmanship of Shri Shyamal Misra, Joint Secretary on 12th April, 2019 at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi.
During the meeting there will be review of the India-Chile Expanded PTA which was expanded on 16th May, 2017. Discussions will also be held on all the chapters relating to Trade in Goods, SPS/TBT, Customs, Rules of Origin and Dispute Settlement under the existing PTA and further expansion of the PTA to include Services and Investment.
The agreement on India-Chile PTA and also the Expanded PTA including its Annexes and Indian & Chilean Schedule indicating tariff concessions are available on the Department's website at following links:

Under the expanded PTA, India has increased tariff concessions to Chile from 178 tariff lines to 1031 tariff lines and Chile's concession to India have increased from 296 tariff lines to 1784 tariff lines at 8-digit HS code 2012.
It is proposed to seek more tariff concessions from Chile under the further expansion of the India-Chile PTA.
Members are therefore requested to kindly provide inputs on the tariff lines (for export/ import) to be included in the further expansion of the India-Chile PTA. The inputs be sent to us latest by 10/04/2019 on ed@chemexcil.gov.in, deepak.gupta@chemexcil.gov.in & rodelhi@chemexcil.gov.in .
