RCEP Comments (MSME HS Codes)

Dear Members,
This is with reference to the ongoing Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) negotiations. In this regard, the inputs received from members time and again have been put-forth to the Department of Commerce (DoC) & Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (DCPC) for consideration.
We have now received communication from Joint Development Commissioner, Office of Development commissioner, Ministry of Medium, Small and Micro enterprises, GOI updating us that that India is negotiating RCEP and out of the five agreements, Agreement on goods is the one which is likely to affect MSME sector.
The MSME ministry has provided the enclosed list of the tariff lines which might have a possible impact on MSME sector.
As an export promotion council, we have to give industry specific inputs so that interests of the MSME units are taken care of timely as DoC is negotiating the agreement.
Members are therefore requested to revert with their inputs by 08/09/2018 on our e-mail id’s -ed@chemexcil.gov.in, deepak.gupta@chemexcil.gov.in & rodelhi@chemexcil.gov.in .
