Dear Sir/ Madam,
Please find attached herewith TBT notification (G/TBT/N/TPKM/195) dated 16th January 2015 is issued by the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan. The regulation is with regards to cosmetics.
HS Code
The HS Code for the products comes under chapter 33.
Economic Analysis
Currently India is exporting these products to Taiwan. India’s export to Taiwan is US$ 2.97 million in the year 2013-14. India’s export to world stood at US$ 1459.02 million. The import of India stood at US$ 0.82 million in the year 2013-14. The import of the world by Taiwan stood at US$ 579.20 Million in 2013-14.
India exports these products to Taiwan hence, this approval requirement, if implemented, may significantly impact the registration strategy and timeline for India’s exports of cosmetics.
