Amendment in Export Policy of Agarwood – Permission for Export of Agarwood Oil through Guwahati Airport

Dear Member,
Greetings from CHEMEXCIL!
Members are hereby informed that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has issued a notification amending the export policy provisions for Agarwood under Chapter 12 of Schedule II (ITC HS) Export Policy, 2022.
As per the notification, export of Agarwood oil and allied products is now permitted through Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, subject to compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
The existing provisions regarding CITES permits, wherever applicable, and other prescribed documentation and regulatory requirements shall continue to apply.
Members dealing in Agarwood oil and related products may take note of this development.
The relevant DGFT notification is attached for reference.
