Extension of enforcement date of QCOs of 6 Chemicals such as (i) Lauric Acid (ii) Acid Oil
(iii) Palm fatty Acids (iv) Rice Bran Fatty Acids (v) Coconut Fatty Acids (vi) Hydrogenated

Dear Members,
We have received intimation from Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) regarding Extension of enforcement date of QCOs of 6 Chemicals such as (i) Lauric Acid (ii) Acid Oil (iii) Palm fatty Acids (iv) Rice Bran Fatty Acids (v) Coconut Fatty Acids (vi) Hydrogenated Rice Bran Fatty Acid.
You might be aware, that exporters from oleo-chemicals/ surfactants industry had cited issues with BIS compliance of these chemicals and Chemexcil had also sent a representation to Secretary (Chemicals & Petrochemicals) in this regard.
Taking cognizance of the concerns of the industry, an extension has been granted for implementation of enclosed QCOs till 24.04.2023.
Members are requested to take note of the same and do the needful accordingly. For full details, you may also check the Gazette Notification enclosed.
