CBIC Notification to impose provisional Anti-Dumping duty on import of "1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-Pyrazolone" originating in or exported from China PR for a period of six months |

Dear Members,
This has reference to our recent circular informing you that the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has issued notification dated 13/04/2020 regarding Preliminary Findings in the Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of "1-Phenyl-3-Methyl-5-Pyrazolone" originating in or exported from China PR. The applicant was M/s Prima Chemicals.
We understand from above said DGTR notification dated 13/04/2020, that it was felt that imposition of provisional duty is required to offset dumping and injury, pending completion of the investigation. Therefore, imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of subject goods from the subject country is required to be considered (As per table provided in the notification).
In continuation of same, Dept of Revenue, MOF has now issued Notification No. 13/2020- CUSTOMS (ADD) dated 9th June, 2020 regarding imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty (USD 5.01/KG) on import of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-Pyrazolone (Tariff Heading 2933) originating in or exported from China PR for a period of six months.
