Dear Members,

Kindly note that  CBIC has issued important  notifications  regarding  deeper Tariff concessions on import of specified items  from Malaysia, Korea RP and ASEAN under their respective FTA’s.

As far as chemicals are concerned, we understand that import duties are being cut  on oleo-chemical  inputs such as    crude and refined palm oil effective 01/01/2019 to comply with preferential trade pacts with Southeast Asian nations. Accordingly, the import duty on crude palm oil, originating from Malaysia, Indonesia and other members of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has been reduced.
