Dear Members,
In accordance with Article 30 of the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act (TCCSCA, revised in 2019) of Taiwan, enterprises that manufacture or import certain quantities of existing chemical substances each year in Taiwan shall submit the registration dossier of chemical substance to the competent authority before the specified deadline.
In TCCSCA, the lists of existing chemical substances is subject to standard registration and the deadlines for registration, based on the circumstances of the phase 1 registration of existing chemical substances.
Taiwan’s Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) proposed an amendment to the Regulation on New and Existing Chemical Substances.
The regulation was first published in 2014 and had previously been amended in March 2019.
According to the recently published amendment draft, registrants will therefore have 4 years to complete their obligation for standard registration for 106 PECs.
Companies that obtained Phase One Registration Code after January 1, 2020 are required to complete the Standard Registration (106 PECs) within four years.
To create awareness amongst exporters in Chemical Sector about this new change in TCCSCA, CHEMEXCIL and in association with Global Product Compliance, Sweden are organizing a free webinar for members.
