Dear Sir/Madam,
Greetings from CHEMEXCIL!
The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) is a landmark EU framework regulation, which came into force on 18 July 2024, is set to reshape the European product landscape by boosting circularity, energy performance and other aspects of environmental sustainability.
For India-based product manufacturers exporting or being part of a value chain to the EU, understanding ESPR is crucial.
Based on the European Green Deal, the EU Circular Economy Action Plan as well as the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, this regulation will serve as the basis to introduce new ecodesign requirements aimed at making products more durable, reliable, reusable, upgradable, reparable, and easier to maintain, refurbish, and recycle, while also improving energy and resource efficiency.
Additionally, ESPR mandates the implementation of Digital Product Passports (DPP), which may transform the way products are tracked, maintained, and recycled, and will enhance the transmission of information on “substances of concern” in products across the value chain(s).
This webinar offers a comprehensive overview of ESPR, including its challenges, timelines, and the impact on India-based product manufacturers exporting or being part of a value chain to the EU. You'll also gain actionable insights to help your company and value chain navigate and comply with these new requirements.
With the objective of alerting the Indian chemicals industry about its implications and challenges that lie ahead, CHEMEXCIL is organizing the Webinar on - ECO-DESIGN FOR SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS REGULATIONS (ESPR).
