Dear Sir/Madam,
The Council is in receipt of communication from FIEO informing that the role of districts in export promotion is indeed vital.
The DGFT’s “District as Export Hub” initiative is a step forward to identify the potential and gaps in each District and to draw an actionable roadmap to promote exports.
As a part of this exercise, FIEO has been entrusted to prepare District Export Strategies in respect of below 20 Districts.
The whole idea is to first identify a product carrying export potential in these 20 districts.
Map concerns of stakeholders (related to infrastructure, logistics, policy, productivity etc).
Seek suggestions and accordingly draw an actionable strategy for the District so that it can be developed as an export hub.
In this regard, it is extremely important to have valued views of members covering issues & challenges faced by members in these Districts and also suggestions for pushing exports.
