DGFT Notice on Relief in Average Export Obligation in terms of the para 5.17(a)
of Hand Book of Procedures (HBP) of FTP, 2023.

Dear Sir/Madam,
O/o DGFT has issued Policy Circular No. 10/2023-2024 dated 22nd February 2024 on relief in Average Export Obligation in terms of the para 5.17(a) of Hand Book of Procedures (HBP) of FTP, 2023.
Department has provided relief to exporters in sectors where exports have declined by more than 5% compared to the previous year. This relief is in the form of a reduction in the average export obligation (EO) for the year.
A list of product groups that are eligible for this relief is provided in the notification. Following HS codes coming under the purview of CHEMEXCIL are mentioned in annexure
(2805,2807,2808, 2809,2816, 2819, 2822, 2831, 2839, 2852, 2901,2902, 2904, 2906, 2907,2911,2913,2917,2929,2931,2934, 3203, 3204,3301,3307,3504, 3809)
Regional Authorities are suggested to re-fix the annual average EO for EPCG authorizations for the year 2022-23 accordingly.
