Dear Members,

This is to inform that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued Notification No. 15/2026-27 dated 30th April 2026 regarding alignment of the RoDTEP Schedule consequent to amendments in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.

Key Highlights:

1.      Addition of Tariff Lines

o    142 tariff lines at the 8-digit level have been added in Appendix 4R and 4RE of the RoDTEP Schedule.

2.      Deletion of Tariff Lines

o    50 tariff lines at the 8-digit level have been deleted from Appendix 4R and 4RE.

3.      Modification in Description

o    Description of 2 tariff lines at 8 Digit level has been revised in Appendix 4R & Appendix 4RE of the RoDTEP schedule.

The above changes are effective from 01st May 2026.

As per Annexure C regarding the changes in Tariff Items under RoDTEP Schedules 4R and 4RE consequent to the amendment in the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, please find enclosed the HS codes falling under the purview of CHEMEXCIL:

The list of changes is also provided in Annexure-A of the DGFT Notification titled “Changes in Tariff Items under RoDTEP Schedule 4R and 4RE consequent to the amendment of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act” for ready reference.
