DGFT Notification: Procedure for obtaining Registration Certificate for import of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) subject to
Country-wise Quantitative Restrictions (QR) for the year 2023-24 -reg.

Dear Members,
As you are aware that the O/o Directorate General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi had issued notification No. 64/2015-20 dated 31st March 2023, regarding Import of Iso Propyl Alcohol (IPA) HS Code 29051220 shall be allowed subject to country wise quantitative restrictions for a period of one year only. (Effective from 1st April 2023) unless notified otherwise subject to a valid registration certificate issued by DGFT.
With regards to this DGFT has issued a notification no. 04/2023 dated 11th April-2023 on procedure for obtaining Registration Certificate for import of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) subject to Country-wise Quantitative Restrictions (QR) for the year 2023-24,
As per the notification the Total import of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) HS Code 29051220 for the year 2023-24 would be 1,32,440 MT as per specified country wise allotted quantity given in the notice.
The detailed procedure for applying Registration certificate (RC) is mentioned in attached notice.
