DGFT Public Notice: Import of Menthol covered under ITC HS Codes 29061100,
30039021, 33012590 & 33012400 under Advance Authorization/DFIA: regarding

Dear Members,
O/o DGFT has issued a Public Notice no 48/2023 dated 7th March 2024 on import of menthol covered under ITC HS codes 29061100, 30039021, 33012590, 33012400 under advance authorization, duty free import authorization.
The input menthol covered under ITC HS Code 29061100, 30039021, 33012590, 33012400 stands suspended from standard input output norms and or adhoc norms wherever it appears in any SION/adhoc norms pending review of such SION/or adhoc norms.
Till such review is undertaken no advance authorization or Duty free import authorization shall be issued for import of menthol covered under ITC HS code 29061100, 30039021, 33012590 and 33012400
The impact of this Notice: The concerned industries cannot import menthol duty free even for export production either under SION or Adhoc norms.
