DGFT Trade Notice No. 03/2026-27 dated 13.05.2026 – Clarifications on Interest Subvention Support for Pre- and Post-Shipment Export Credit under Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – Niryat Protsahan

Dear Members,

This is to inform members that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has issued Trade Notice No. 03/2026-27 dated 13th May 2026 regarding clarifications and amendments related to the Interest Subvention Support for Pre- and Post-Shipment Export Credit under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – Niryat Protsahan.

The Trade Notice has been issued in view of representations received from the industry regarding practical and procedural difficulties faced in generation and validation of Unique Identification Number (UIN) under the scheme during the initial implementation phase.

Key highlights of the amendments are as follows:

  • A special window has been provided for exporters where eligible export credit was disbursed on or after 02.01.2026 but the UIN could not be generated prior to disbursal.
  • For FY 2025-26, interest subvention claims shall be admissible even if the UIN is generated after loan disbursal, subject to the condition that the UIN is generated on or before 31.05.2026. In such cases, interest subvention shall be admissible from the date of loan disbursal and not from the date of UIN generation.
  • From FY 2026-27 onwards, a UIN generated within 15 days from the date of disbursal of eligible export credit shall be treated as valid for admissibility of interest subvention support.
  • Banks and lending institutions have been directed to implement the amendments immediately and ensure uniform processing of claims.

Members availing benefits under the EPM Interest Subvention Scheme are advised to take note of the above amendments.

The DGFT Trade Notice is attached herewith for ready reference.

With Kind Regards,

Vishal S. Ganju
