DGFT Trade notice: Automatic system-based issue of status holder certificate
(e-SHC) with no requirement of filing any application by exporters.-reg.

Dear Members,
The O/o Directorate General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi had issued a Trade Notice no 28/2023-24 dated 9th October-2023 clarifying that the Automated process for Status Holder certificate renewal from now onwards
As a part of e-government initiative being taken by DGFT a new IT module to recognize and certify the export performance of individual companies has been developed.
Now onwards the status holder certificates will be generated electronically based on the data available on DGCI&S database. The individual exporters will be divided in to five status categories based on available merchandise export figures from EDI, non-EDI ports and SEZ ports as per the eligibility criteria in FTP 2023. As a result there will be no requirement by the exporter to file any kind of application and the e-SHC for a particular status category will be generated by the IT system.
The e-SHC will be available to the concerned exporters on their registered email ids. Exporters also can view the same on their DGFT dashboard.
The e-SHC will be made available after necessary IT iterations, by 15th August every year. Eligible exporters will be automatically issued e-SHC within 48 hrs. of the issue of the Trade Notice.
All pending/in-process application under FTP 2023 will be scrutinized by IT System for Auto Issuance.
The Trade Notice has also clarified that “All Status Holder Certificate issued under FTP 2015-20 will remain valid till 30th September 2023 only as per provisions under para 1.09 of HBP 2023.”
An IEC Holder who is not getting covered under the new mechanism of automatic issue, will need to apply online to concerned RA of DGFT as per HBP 2023 provisions.
The detailed notice can be viewed on https://content.dgft.gov.in/Website/dgftprod/b20d3441-7d0c-4c05-8362-9b80fba32897/TN.pdf
