Dear Members,

The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has issued Notification dated 20th January 2021 regarding  Final  Findings in Anti-Dumping Duty investigation concerning imports of "Aniline" originating in or exported from China PR.

As informed earlier, an Anti-Dumping investigation on import of "Aniline" from China PR was initiated on 24.01.2020.    M/s Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited had filed an application before the Designated Authority for initiation of this investigation.

  • Conclusion (By DGTR)

After examining the submissions made by the interested parties and issues raisedtherein, and considering the facts available on record, the Authority concludes that:

  1. The product under consideration has been exported to India from the subject countries below its normal value.
  2. The Domestic Industry has suffered material injury.
  3. Material injury has been caused by the dumped imports of subject goods from the subject countries.

  • Recommendations (by DGTR)

The Authority notes that the investigation was initiated and notified to all interested parties and adequate opportunity was given to the domestic industry, exporters, importers and other interested parties to provide information on the aspects of dumping, injury and the causal link. Having initiated and conducted the investigation into dumping, injury and causal link in terms of the provisions laid down under the Rules, the Authority is of the view that imposition of Anti-Dumping is required to offset  dumping and injury.

Therefore, Authority recommends imposition of anti-dumping duty on imports of subject goods from the subject country.
