EPC:ADM:ELECTION TO COA: 2015-17:

All Members of the Council,

Dear Sir/Madam,

As per the decision taken by the Committee of Admn. and as per the Byelaws of the Council, we had issued Circulars to all its members vide its No. EPC:ADM:COA dated the 20 th October, 2015 calling nominations for election to the CoA of the Council for its 3 vacant posts. The last date of receipt of nomination by the Council from the members was 10 th November, 2015. Accordingly, we have received some nominations from the members.

In the meantime, the Council have been advised by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to appoint a Returning Officer to monitor the election process. Accordingly, Ministry of Commerce has appointed Jt.DGFT, Mumbai as the returning officer to conduct election procedures. Since the returning officer was not appointed from the beginning of the election procedure, it has been decided to declare fresh election as per the directive of the Returning officer.

Therefore, as per the advice of the Returning officer, we have started the new procedure of updating the Voters list by giving one more opportunity to the members who have paid their membership for last 3 year and also current year on or before 30-6-2015 to submit their export turnover, so that members can get their right to file nomination / voting rights as per the bylaws.

In view of the above, all members are once again requested to kindly submit your fresh nomination for election to the CoA for the year 2015-17 for its vacant posts which we are going to declare shortly.
