Dear Sir/ Madam

CHEMEXCIL is in receipt of communication from the department that Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) intends to implement Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for following 10 Chemicals under the relevant provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.

 

The Enforcement date of QCOs of 10 Chemicals is as under :-

For your information, please note the general key Implications of QCO on above products are as under

  • The QCO makes it mandatory for manufacturers, importers, and sellers to adhere to specified quality standards for these Chemicals set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
  •  
  • Companies involved in the production, import, or sale of these chemicals must Obtain BIS certification for their products, Mark their products with the BIS Standard Mark.
  •  
  • Maintain detailed records of production and quality control measures.
  •  
  • Allow inspections by BIS officials.
  •  
  • Authorities can conduct checks at manufacturing facilities, import points, and market places.
  • Non-compliant products can be seized, and penalties can be imposed, including fines, imprisonment, or cancellation of licenses.
