Expression of Interest for Participating in the Business Delegation to Japan during HCIM's Visit (24–27 August 2026)

Dear Member,
The Department of Commerce, Government of India, has informed that the Hon'ble Commerce & Industry Minister (HCIM), Shri Piyush Goyal, is likely to visit Japan from 24–27 August 2026 for business and investment-related bilateral meetings. A high-level Government and business delegation is expected to accompany the Hon'ble Minister during the visit.
As part of the visit, a Trade Promotion Roadshow is being organised to further strengthen India–Japan trade engagement. Business meetings are proposed to be arranged with corresponding Japanese industry associations and business representatives from sectors having strong export potential in the Japanese market.
The Department of Commerce is seeking inputs from the industry on the following:

Details of prominent Indian exporters interested in expanding their business in the Japanese market, along with a brief company profile and the details of the Japanese companies/associations they wish to meet.

Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) and other market access issues faced by Indian exporters in Japan, including Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures, Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), Rules of Origin (RoO), and other related concerns.
Members interested in participating in the proposed business delegation and/or sharing the above information are requested to send their details to shobha@chemexcil.in with a copy to amrita@chemexcil.in by 12:00 Noon (IST) on Monday, 20 July 2026, so that the same can be consolidated and forwarded to the Department of Commerce within the stipulated timeline.
