EPC/LIC/RODTEP                                                             9th January 2021

To All Members of the council

ICEGATE update on RoDTEP

Dear Members,

This  is in continuation of  our  recent circulars regarding roll-out of  “Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP)” Scheme from 1st  Jan 2021 and  various advisories, tutorials etc  shared for guidance of members.

However, we understand that there are  concerns amongst the  member-exporters regarding  instances of low RoDTEP rates  (0.50%/ 0.37%  etc)  reflecting in their shipping bills  of  1st Jan 2021 onwards.

In order  to address the concerns of the exporters, ICEGATE  site has flashed following message:

“Exporters are getting RoDTEP amount indicated in their Shipping Bills. This is only notional and calculated at dummy rate, since the final rates are not notified by the Govt.

The actual RoDTEP benefit will be available to the exporters once the rates are notified

Further, the council has also sent representations to MOF regarding availability of RoDTEP for Advance Authorization Holders/ EOUs,   early announcement of rates without caps etc and look forward an early  resolution of these concerns.

Members are requested to take note of the same which will hopefully address some of their concerns.   The said flash update on RoDTEP is available on ICEGATE homepage  (https://icegate.gov.in/index.html)

Feed-backs, if any may be sent on our email id's:  deepak.gupta@chemexcil.gov.in, pwdd@chemexcil.gov.in  &    info@chemexcil.gov.in .

Thanking you.

Yours Faithfully,
