Dear Members,

Greetings from CHEMEXCIL!

As you are aware that the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued a Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-27022024-252438 dated 27th February 2024 mandating all registered chemical and petrochemical industries/units in India, except those dealing in specific exempted categories, to submit data on the ChemIndia Web portal (https://chemindia.chemicals.gov.in/)

This portal aims to facilitate the collection of comprehensive statistics related to various aspects of the chemical sector, including some characteristics of chemicals. The primary objective of gathering this data is to create an extensive chemical inventory that encompasses all relevant information about the sector.

Hence to create awareness and educate the industry, the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, in collaboration with CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology (IPT), is organizing a Sensitization-cum-Onboarding Camp on the ChemIndia Portal (https://chemindia.chemicals.gov.in/) as per the following schedule:

• Dates - 15th – 18th July 2025

• Time - 10.00am to 5.00pm (daily)

• Venue:
  CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology (IPT)
  T.V.K. Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai – 600032

Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals officials will personally conduct this session and resolve the issues of members.

This is an opportunity for members to directly interact with competent authorities to address their challenges, clarify doubts, and take the guidance on this mandatory data submission process on the ChemIndia Portal.

Members are advised to bring the requisite information, as specified in Annexure II to enable their seamless onboarding onto the ChemIndia Portal during the camp.

To ensure a fruitful discussion, members are kindly requested to familiarize themselves with the resources provided on the ChemIndia Portal before attending the session and come to the camp with their data and queries.
