Review of Existing Focus LAC Programme – Meeting on 09.01.2019

Dear Members,
As you might be aware, Focus LAC Programme was launched by the Department of Commerce with the specific objective of promoting and bolstering our exports with the LAC countries, in recognition of the immense and hitherto unharnessed potential of the market of this region.
The Programme was reviewed from time to time for its extension. It was last extended for five years in 2013 till March, 2019. A copy of the existing Focus LAC Programme is attached for your reference.
We have now received communication from FT-LAC Section, DOC regarding initiation of the process for review of the existing Focus LAC Programme.
In this regard, a meeting has been scheduled under the Chairmanship of Shri Shyamal Misra, Joint Secretary on 09.01.2019 at 3.00 PM in at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi.
Members are requested to kindly provide inputs / suggestions latest by 08/01/2019 to be deliberated during the meeting on 09/01/2019.
