Workshop on Importance of FTAs and BTAs for Indian Chemical Sector Exports 11th July 2025 from 10 am at Mumbai

Dear Members,

You may be aware that the Indian Government is actively negotiating Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Bilateral Trade and Investment Agreements (BTIAs) with key global partners, especially with the European Union and the United States, among the top export destinations for India's chemical industry.

With over 14 FTAs currently in force, including recent agreements with the UK, European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the UAE, and Australia, it is very important to create awareness amongst Council’s member-exporters focusing on the importance of these agreements for trade.

The aim of this workshop is to empower Indian Chemical exporters with knowledge to effectively address queries from the Department of Commerce on tariffs, Product Specific Rules (PSRs), Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs), and Trade Measures (TMs).
