 Dear Members,

 

We would like to inform you that  the O/o Directorate General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi has issued Notification No. 57/2015-20   dated 20/03/2019  regarding extension of  IGST & Compensation Cess  exemption under Advance Authorisation, EPCG and EOU scheme up-to 31.03.2020.

 

As per above-said notification, following amendments are made  in Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20:

 

• • Exemption from Integrated Tax and Compensation Cess under Advance Authorization under Para 4.14 of FTP 2015-20 is extended up-to 31.03.2020.

 

• Exemption from Integrated Tax and Compensation Cess under EPCG Scheme under Para 5.01(a) of FTP 2015-20 is extended up-to 31.03.2020.

 

• Exemption from Integrated Tax and Compensation Cess under EOU scheme under Para 6.01(d)(ii) of FTP 2015-20 is extended up-to 31.03.2020.

 

Members are requested to take note of this DGFT notification for extension of IGST & Compensation cess exemption under  AA/ EPCG/ EOU till 31.03.2020  and do the needful accordingly.  The said DGFT  Notification is  available for reference using below link:

Finally, exporters, must note that if they take the benefit of the said notification, then their Export must not be under IGST Paid Route as the same refund is not eligible as per  (Rule 96(10).   Thus, they must export strictly under LUT option only.
