FYI
Annex A (Elimination)
Parties must take measures to eliminate the production and use of the chemicals listed under Annex A. Specific exemptions are available in Annex A and apply only to Parties that have registered for them.
It may be noted that to enable this Ministry in firming up a 'Country Position' on the above mentioned chemicals, comments/ inputs on status of registration, its usage and technical studies w.r.t. Chemicals, impact of their ban is required.
Annex B (Restriction)
Parties must take measures to restrict the production and use of the chemicals listed under Annex B in light of any applicable acceptable purposes and/or specific exemptions listed in the Annex.
Annex C (Unintentional production)
Parties must take measures to reduce the unintentional releases of chemicals listed under Annex C with the goal of continuing minimization and, where feasible, ultimate elimination.
Please note if this proposal is concluded in above convention then it will badly impact the interests of manufactures of these chemicals.
In view of the above we request you to send information/ comments to pw@chemexcil.in, amrita@chemexcil.in cc to dg@chemexcil.in to enable us to inform the Ministry in firming up a view on various chemicals of interest for POPRC-17 and subsequent COP meetings.
