Industry Interface Session on India’s Four Labour Codes & Chemical Sector Initiatives

Dear Members,
CHEMEXCIL is in receipt of an invitation from the Indian Chemical Council – Eastern Region (ICC-ERO) to participate in the Industry Interface Session on India’s Four Labour Codes (2025) & Global Chemical Industry Landscape scheduled to be held on Thursday, 11th December 2025 at The Westin, Kolkata, organised in collaboration with Asia Law Offices as the Knowledge Partner.
The session aims to provide industry stakeholders with valuable insights into recent policy developments, regulatory reforms, and key initiatives concerning the chemical sector.
Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics & Dyes Export Promotion Council popularly known as CHEMEXCIL is set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry Government of India in the year 1963 with the objective of promoting exports of the following items from India to various countries abroad.

The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has recently announced the implementation of the Four Consolidated Labour Codes on 21st November 2025, namely:

The Code on Wages, 2019
-
The Industrial Relations Code, 2020
-
The Social Security Code, 2020
-
The Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions (OSH) Code, 2020
These major reforms replace 29 Central labour laws with a unified and simplified framework, harmonising compliance procedures, enhancing transparency and strengthening labour welfare measures across sectors.
