Inputs for 14th India-Philippines Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment (JWGTI) meeting -for preparation of the agenda

Dear Members,
CHEMEXCIL has received a communication from the Department of Commerce regarding the upcoming 14th India-Philippines Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment (JWGTI) meeting.
As you may be aware, the JWGTI serves as an institutional mechanism for bilateral trade engagements between India and the Philippines at the senior departmental level. Following the last virtual meeting held in September 2020, the 14th session is now proposed to be held shortly.
The Department is currently preparing the draft agenda for the upcoming JWGTI to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations. This meeting provides a significant opportunity to discuss cooperation across various sectors, including chemicals.
We request members to share their inputs regarding the following areas:
- Tariff Barriers
- Non-Tariff Barriers
- Customs issues in the Philippines
- Regulatory issues
- Logistics and infrastructure
- Any other challenges faced by Indian chemical exporters in the Philippines market
