position forthe same reg.

Dear Members,

As you are aware, the Indian Government is currently in discussing (negotiating) with the Oman regarding the India-Oman FTA (CEPA).

This proposed FTA negotiations are important for Indian Chemical industry. As the Oman is one of the largest chemical trade partners in GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council) , and any developments in this FTA will have a direct/indirect impact on Indian chemical exports.

In view of above we are in receipt of communication Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals to seek our inputs on attached chemical tariff lines (891 HS Codes falling under Chemexcil's purview.) on India's PSR position.

Moreover, members can also share any trade-related issues concerning trade in chemicals with Oman (Duty concessions, NTBs, SPS, TBs etc. )

Members are requested to go through the attachments and submit their inputs with detailed justification on ad.del@chemexcil.in  with copy to rd.del@chemexcil.in on or before 7th December 2023 by 10.00am for onward submission and deliberations.
