Inputs for World Bank B-READY International Trade - Perception
Based Survey

Dear Members,
This has reference to our previous circular on INPUTS ON BUSINESS READY (B-READY) PROJECT BY THE WORLD BANK dated 23rd July 2024. (https://chemexcil.in/circulars/inputs-on-business-ready--b-ready--project-by-the-world-bank/6222/98770a3b7db062d51dd10fd32070adc2.html)
Now we are in receipt of communication from Department informing about the perception-based survey for B-Ready which is an important step to touch base with the private sector to analyse on-ground realities and become aware of the experiences of firms in order to measure the efficiency of trade in India and correct misconceptions and promote reforms. This exercise is a preliminary assessment preceding the World Bank Group’s firm-level survey for Pillar III (focusing on regulatory reforms and improving the business environment to facilitate trade and investment) which has already begun and will conclude in October 2025.
Enclosed herewith is the PPT along with questionnaire based on the reliable de facto data on time and cost on trade compliance of members.
In view of above we request members to provide data, and feedback on the current regulatory framework and public services, in order to help in identifying areas for improvement and promoting reforms that strengthen the private sector
