Invitation for Inputs on Issues/Challenges in Utilisation of India–MERCOSUR and India–Chile Preferential Trade Agreements

Dear Member,
Kind reference is invited to the communication received from the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, regarding the forthcoming meeting of the FTA Monitoring Committee.
In this regard, CHEMEXCIL invites its member-exporters to kindly share details of any issues, challenges, difficulties or procedural constraints being faced in availing/utilising the benefits under the existing:

India–MERCOSUR Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA)
-
India–Chile Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA)
Members are requested to provide specific inputs, wherever applicable, particularly with respect to tariff preferences, Rules of Origin, Certificate of Origin, documentation requirements, customs procedures, market access, or any other difficulties encountered while exporting to these markets.
Members are also requested to provide suggestive actions/recommendations for addressing the issues reported, wherever possible.
The inputs may kindly be shared by 9 September 2026 at ed@chemexcil.in, with a copy to amrita@chemexcil.in, shalini@chemexcil.in and ad.del@chemexcil.in, to enable the Council to compile and submit the consolidated inputs to the Department of Commerce for further necessary action.
Members are requested to kindly treat the matter as urgent and provide their valuable inputs within the stipulated timeline.
