Dear Sir/Madam,

You are kindly aware that DGFT regulates the export of dual-use goods and technologies through the SCOMET list under FTDR Act wherein the list of dual-use goods and technologies is annually updated to reflect the changes in the various export control regimes.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade is mandated to conduct outreach programs in partnership with other Government departments and related stakeholders on a regular basis for effective awareness among the exporters dealing with trade and manufacturing, in particular, of SCOMET items/technology/software.

The council is in receipt of communication regarding the forthcoming “National Conference on Strategic Trade Controls” scheduled to be held on 30th January, 2024. The national conference is being organized under the aegis of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) aiming to bring together key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, academics, representatives from neighbouring countries and experts in the field to showcase India’s export control system and also to exchange views on export.
