We are pleased to inform you that CHEMEXCIL in association with GPC Group is organizing an informative webinar on Chemical Regulations in Colombia & Latin America on 20th May, 2022 & 25th May, 2022.
The regulation of chemicals is the legislative intent of a variety of national laws or international initiatives such as agreements, strategies or conventions. These international initiatives define the policy of further regulations to be implemented locally as well as exposure or emission limits.
Every region regulates chemicals differently, therefore, it is important for an exporter and importer to identify relevant regulations and comply with them.
Recently Colombia enacted its chemical framework in 2021 via Decree 1630, becoming the second country in Latin America planning to implement a comprehensive chemical regulatory regime.
Decree 1630 aims to advance sound chemical management through establishing a National Inventory of Chemical Substances, a chemical prioritization scheme, substance risk evaluation, and management programs. Decree 1630 also implements a Registry for Emission and Transfer of Contaminants (RECT) and a Toxicological Management System (SGT).
In Latin America Chemical policies are rapidly developing, the industrial associations, are playing important roles in sharing the development of National Chemical Regulations.
In this webinar, speakers will present the latest regulatory summaries and important compliance information to ensure a prosperous business in LAC region.
This series of webinar will enable you to understand the recent regulatory updates in Colombia & Latin America, including the process, requirements, compliance matters, and deadlines.
