This has reference to our circular dated 22nd July 2020 informing you that the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is inviting suggestions online from the public on MyGov Innovate portal for review of existing Customs exemption notifications and Customs laws and procedures.
You might be aware, that during Budget 2020-21 Speech of the Hon'ble Finance Minister it was proposed to crowd source suggestions for review of Customs duty exemption notifications. It was also announced that suggestions would be invited in respect of the Customs laws and procedures for aligning them with the needs of changing times and ease of doing business. The last date to submit the suggestions is 21st August, 2020.
Accordingly, an initiative has been taken to institute a facility at the MyGov Innovate portal (https://innovate.mygov.in/suggestions-for-review-of-existing-customs/) for all the stakeholders/public at large to provide their suggestions online.
In continuation of the same, O/o Commissioner of Customs, NS-I, JNCH have also issued Public Notice No. 94/2020 dated 30th July 2020 regarding Crowd sourcing of suggestions for review of existing Customs duty exemption notifications/Customs Laws and procedures-reg.
Members are once again requested to take note of this initiative by CBIC to crowd source suggestions on review of Customs laws and procedures. You may avail this opportunity and submit suggestions on MyGov Innovate portal using below link-

In case of issues in submission of suggestions on the said portal, you may write to Additional/ Joint Commissioner (Appraising Main, Imports) on e-mail id- firstname.lastname@example.org . Members may also provide details of their suggestions to council on email id's: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com & firstname.lastname@example.org for records/ further deliberations.
