Launch of Interest Subvention for Pre- and Post- Shipment Export Credit under EXPORT PROMOTION MISSION – NIRYAT PROTHSAHAN – regarding

Dear Members,

We wish to inform you that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce, has issued Trade Notice No. 20/2025-26 dated 02 January 2026, announcing the launch of Interest Subvention for Pre- and Post-Shipment Rupee Export Credit under the Export Promotion Mission – Niryat Protsahan.

The scheme has been introduced with immediate effect and is being implemented on a pilot basis through the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) with the objective of reducing the cost of export credit and improving liquidity for MSME exporters.

Below are the Features of the Scheme

    • Rate of Interest Subvention: 2.75% per annum

    • Eligible Credit:

      • Pre-shipment Rupee Export Credit

      • Post-shipment Rupee Export Credit

    • Eligible Beneficiaries:

      • MSME Manufacturer Exporters and Merchant Exporters

      • Holding a valid IEC and valid Udyam Registration

    • Product Coverage:

      • Exports under a notified positive list of HSN 6-digit tariff lines

    • Maximum Benefit:

      • Up to Rs. 50 lakh per MSME exporter per financial year

    • Mode of Benefit:

      • Interest subvention to be passed on upfront by banks and reimbursed through RBI

Important Procedural Requirement

Eligible MSME exporters are required to file an online “Intent to Avail” on the DGFT portal prior to availing export credit. Upon submission, a Unique Identification Number (UIN) will be generated, which must be shared with the respective lending bank. Separate UINs are required for each bank, where applicable.

Kindly note

    • The scheme is not linked to export performance, quantities, or pricing.

    • Benefits are limited strictly to the interest cost of export credit.

    • The positive list of eligible products will be reviewed periodically.

    • Any excess claim beyond the prescribed annual ceiling will be recoverable as per rules.

The detailed guidelines, positive list of eligible HSN codes, and step-by-step procedure for filing intent is enclosed in attached notice.
