Launch/revamp of Trade Connect E-Platform for Issuance of Non-Preferential

Certificate of Origin (eCoO) 2.0 System: Regarding

 

Dear Members,

The Government has initiated the creation of Trade Connect e-platform to connect Indian Exporters, MSMEs and Entrepreneurs with various stakeholders including Indian Missions Abroad, Export Promotion Councils, and other Partner Government Agencies. The platform will provide information on trade events taking place in different parts of the world, benefits available due to India's Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and other international trade related information and data.

Accordingly, O/o DGFT has issued a Trade Notice No. 13/2024-25 dated 16th August 2024 on above subject matter.(Copy enclosed)

This notice is to inform all exporters and trade-related entities of the launch Trade Connect e-Platform for the issuance of enhanced Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin (eCoO) system, version 2.0.

  • This system introduces several user-friendly features such as multi-user access, Aadhaar-based e-signature options, and an integrated dashboard for streamlined certification processes.

 

  • All new Non-Preferential CoO applications on or after 28.08.2024 shall be filed on the revamped eCoO 2.0 system (https://trade.gov.in).

  • The exporters existing login credentials on the DGFT website (https://dgft.gov.in) will work on the revamped eCoO 2.0 system. There is no need for the exporter to create new accounts on this eCoO 2.0 system. (All exporter accounts created on the DGFT Website shall be automatically synced with the eCoO 2.0 user accounts)

 

  • However, if any additional exporter accounts are required, the same may be created on the DGFT Website first then it will be automatically auto populated on the Trade Connect Platform.

In view of above CHEMEXCIL members are requested to apply online for issuance of Non- Preferential Certificate of Origin on https://trade.gov.in using DGFT login credentials from 28th August 2024.

Kindly note current platform of certificate of origin issuance i.e., https://coo.dgft.gov.in/ will be disable shortly (after full launch of https://trade.gov.in)
