This has reference to our circular dated 12th July 2021 informing members that CBIC has sought Suggestions for review of Customs Duty Exemptions (at the MyGov Innovate portal).
You might recall that Hon'ble Finance Minister had announced during Budget presentation that a further review of existing Customs exemption notifications would be undertaken through extensive consultations.
In this context, CBIC has uploaded a message on its site whereby suggestions are invited for review of Customs exemption notifications at the MyGov Innovate portal.
We understand that suggestions are invited in respect of their review which may include the need for review of the notification, amendment in wording of the notification for bringing clarity, consolidation, other relevant factors such as extent of use, etc.
In this context, certain Customs exemptions have been identified for purpose of further review (listed below).

Interested member-exporters are again requested to take note and submit their suggestions /pertinent views on the subject latest by 10th August 2021 for consideration by the Government.

Submissions made may also be shared with the council on email id's: dg@chemexcil.in and pw@chemexcil.in for records/ further deliberations, when required. Members who have already made submissions may kindly ignore.
