Request for Submission of Inputs
National Single Registry for Labs & Certification Requirements
under DGFT Initiative

Dear Members,
Greetings from CHEMEXCIL!
The Council is in receipt of a communication from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, regarding the development of a National Single Registry for Laboratories and identification of Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs)impacting exports.
Please note that DGFT is in the process of developing an integrated online platform to digitize and streamline EXIM-related laboratory testing processes and improve regulatory transparency. The initiative will be hosted on the Trade Connect platform and aims to support exporters by improving ease of doing business.
In this regard, DGFT has sought inputs on the following:
1. Details of Testing Infrastructure

Ø List of testing facilities relevant to your sector, including those operated by your own organization or commonly used by your company for export-related testing.

Ø Information should be submitted in the format prescribed in Annexure – Sheet 1
2. Certifications and Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs)

Ø List of certifications required under your product domain.

Ø Approximate cost of obtaining each certification.

Ø This data is to be submitted in Annexure – Sheet 2.
We request member exporters to kindly share the above details in the prescribed formats (Annexure – Sheet 1 & 2) latest by 12th June 2025, so that CHEMEXCIL can consolidate and forward the same to DGFT.
