Request to give confirmation for participation in events
under MAI Scheme for the year 2020-21
|
Dear Members,
As you are aware every year council is submitting event proposals under MAI Scheme to get approval from Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.
This year also we have submitted Event Proposals for the year 2020-21. List of events is given below for your ready reference.
From last two-three years it is observed that events are getting cancelled due to poor response from member exporters to participate in a particular event.
In view of the above to avoid the cancellation of events as well as difficulties arises to member exporters due to cancellation, we request you to kindly send us your confirmation for any two events under MAI as stated in given event list for the year 2020-21.
This will enable us to finalize the events for the year 2020-21 and get it sanction from Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.
This approval of events will be subject to minimum participation as indicated in the attached list and meeting criteria as given below.
Criteria for participation & Reimbursement of Airfare In particular event are as follows:
1. As per the Revised MAI guidelines of the Ministry, a company which has participated THRICE in a particular event & TWO events in the same financial year under MAI scheme through CHEMEXCIL will not be eligible for subsidized stall rates & reimbursement of airfare. In such conditions, if the company wants to participate in a particular event will have to pay the full cost of stall and will not be eligible for reimbursement of airfare.
2. The participating company should be a Member of the Council at least for a period of 12 Months, for claiming airfare.
3. As per the MAI guidelines only Director / Partner / Proprietor of the company are eligible to get the airfare reimbursement.
4. Export turnover of the participating company in the immediate preceding year should not be more than Rs. 30 Crores.
In case the turnover is more than 30 crores then members will not get the reimbursement of airfare. Members who are having NIL exports for previous financial year then they are not eligible for subsidies rates of stalls & reimbursement of airfare if they participate in particular event.
5. The participating company should submit export returns to the Council regularly.
You are requested to send the requisite information at the earliest on or before 28th November, 2019 by email to gautam@chemexcil.gov.in & shobha.proj@chemexcil.gov.in .
