Status Holder Application - Amendment in Para 3.20(b) of
Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20.

Dear Member-Exporters,
We would like to inform you that that the O/o Directorate General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi has issued Notification No.04/2015-2020 dated 29 th April, 2016 regarding amendment in criteria of Status Holder application as in Paragraph 3.20(b) of FTP 2015-20:
You are aware, that currently an applicant is categorized as status holder upon achieving export performance during current and previous two financial years, as indicated in paragraph 3.21 of Foreign Trade Policy. The export performance is counted on the basis of FOB value of export earnings in free foreign exchange.
However, as an effect of this amendment/ notification, t he criteria for recognition as status holder has been changed w.e.f 01.04.2016 to the exports in the current and previous three financial years from the existing criteria of current and previous two financial years (excluding the Gems and Jewellery Sectors).
Members are requested to take note of the same.
