Suggestions for "Vision India @ 2047" for Chemical Sector

Dear Members,

We would like to inform you that Department of Commerce (DoC) is in the process of consultation with all the Stakeholders for preparation of ‘Vision India @ 2047’ document with respect to all product sectors.

The intent of this exercise is to brainstorm and ideate for a Vision-2047 without being constrained by current institutional framework, and suggest an action plan necessary to attain the envisaged vision.

In view of above, Chemexcil would like to invite suggestions  for  Vision India @ 2047’ for India Chemical Sector .

The suggestions will focus on following  ToR,  as far  as chemical sector is concerned:

1.     Gap Analysis- domestic vs. advanced international capabilities.

2.     Identifying Strategic Areas where India can be a world leader.

3.     Suggesting ways to develop institutional expertise and excellence including Government – process re-engineering.

4.     Benchmarking our regulations, key socio-economic indicators, procedures and processes across all sectors to international standards.

5.     Identify focus area in technology and propose a framework to position India as a Leader in such sector within a decade

6.     Roadmap for developing our institutions (academic/research/think tank) and companies as global leaders.

7.     Devise a system for institutional collaboration with foreign governments, international agencies and institutions in the fields of business and technology.

To capture above points and have wider consultations,  we have formulated the questionnaire for our member exporters to fill it up from their end and submit it online.
