To seek inputs on Chemical trade with United Kingdom (India-UK Free Trade Agreement):

Regarding

 

Dear Members,

 

As you are aware, the Indian Government is currently in discussing (negotiating) with the United Kingdom regarding the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

 

This proposed FTA is important for Indian Chemical industry. As the United Kingdom is one of the largest chemical trade partner, and any developments in this FTA will have a direct/indirect impact on Indian chemical exports. 

 

In view of above we seek your inputs on following points for onward communication and negotiations during India-UK FTA talk.

 

  • Tariff Reduction and Elimination on any product along with detailed statistics.

 

  • Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs)if any, being faced by the industry with UK, along with details

  •  

  • Product Specific Rules (PSRs)

 

  • Rules of Origin

  •  

  • Intellectual Property (IP) Protection.

 

  • Any other issue related to UK trade 

 

Members are requested to submit their inputs with detailed justification on dg@chemexcil.in with copy to pw@chemexcil.in on or before 28th November 2023 for onward submission.
