To seek inputs on Market Access Issues / Non-Tariff Barriers faced in Taiwan

 

Dear Members

CHEMEXCIL is in receipt of communication from Department of Commerce (DoC) informing that the 10th Working Group on Trade meeting between India and Taiwan is scheduled to be held in August, 2025 in Taiwan. 

In this regards, they have suggested to seek inputs on any market access issue, non-tariff barrier or any other trade-related challenges being faced by the Indian chemical industry in the Taiwanese market and which may be taken up with the Taiwanese side in the upcoming WGT meeting.

It is therefore requested to kindly share relevant inputs w.r.t. below points:

  • Product-wise or sector-specific non-tariff measures (NTMs)

  • Import restrictions or procedural delays

  • Regulatory compliance issues

  • Certification/approval bottlenecks

  • Customs-related concerns

  • Any other market entry challenges in Taiwan

These inputs will enable the Council to compile and forward an industry-specific representation to the Department for consideration during the upcoming WGT meeting.
