To seek suggestions/views on draft RoDTEP data format received from

 

RODTEP Committee: Regarding

 
 

 

Dear Sirs,

 

This has reference to the meeting of the RODTEP Committee held with various EPCs on September 26th, 2023, regarding the subject cited above.

 

During the meeting, the following points were discussed and briefed by the committee:

 

  • Anomalies in RODTEP Rates: It was noted that there were some anomalies in the existing RODTEP rates. As a result, the committee has decided to review and revise these rates. The revised rates will be submitted to the Department of Revenue for consideration.

 

  • Data Collection from Exporters: To facilitate the review of rates, it has been decided to collect relevant data from exporters of the concerned products.

  •  

  • Simplified Data Collection Formats : The committee recognized that the previous data collection formats provided by the department were somewhat complex. Therefore, the RODTEP committee has created new, draft simplified formats, which are attached in an Excel sheet.

 

  • Two Types of Formats: The draft formats are categorized into two types:

    • Company-wise

    • Product-wise

    •  

  • Circulation of Formats: The committee strongly advises that these formats be circulated by the Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) to the exporting firms for their advance information and consultation.

 

In light of the members of the council are requested to review these formats and provide their valuable suggestions pw@chemexcil.in  with a copy to dg@chemexcil.in  no later than October 8th, 2023.

 

The RODTEP committee will carefully consider and incorporate the appropriate suggestions received from the industry. The final format will then be sent to exporters for the submission of relevant data.

 

It is important to note that the deadline for the submission of information in the notified RoDTEP data format, along with the related documents, is November 30th, 2023. This exporter-specific information, along with other data sets, will be instrumental in the process of updating and reviewing the RoDTEP rates.
